The South Australian Government through Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA) has announced plans for a new Biosecurity Act.
PIRSA have now opened a public consultation period for feedback on the proposed principles, objectives and intent of the new Biosecurity Act. Consultation will close at 11:45pm on Tuesday 24 November 2020.

Effective tomorrow (21 July 2020), the new consolidated phylloxera condition (Condition 7) in South Australia’s Plant Quarantine Standard (PQS) Version 17.0 will apply. We remind industry to be aware of the updated movement conditions and be ready to comply.
|15/06/20||Requirement for certification of empty used grape bins now being enforced
Effective 15 June 2020, empty used grape bins or bulk tippers imported into South Australia from an interstate PEZ which are not accompanied by the required biosecurity documentation, will be quarantined at the state border.
