Vinehealth Australia advises that the Victorian Government has today gazetted the Mornington Peninsula as a Phylloxera Exclusion Zone (PEZ).

IMPLICATIONS FOR SOUTH AUSTRALIA

As per the Chief Inspector Biosecurity Notice issued by PIRSA on 24 November 2021, at this point, the Mornington Peninsula remains classified as a Phylloxera Risk Zone (PRZ) for the purposes of imports into South Australia.

Therefore, entry requirements for regulated phylloxera risk vectors into South Australia from the Mornington Peninsula remain unchanged.

Vinehealth Australia continues to work with PIRSA to assess the rezoning program undertaken, and will keep industry updated of this work.
