Phylloxera Management Zones in Australia

Phylloxera Management Zones in Australia

NOTE: Agriculture Victoria has notified all state jurisdictions of three additional phylloxera detections in the Yarra Valley in 2019 – at St Andrews, Coldstream and Seville. All detections will result in expansions to the current Maroondah PIZ boundary, shown as the red hatched areas.

Click here for a more detailed map of the Maroondah PIZ with proposed expansion areas pending gazettal.

If you are moving any phylloxera risk vectors out of these areas, you must comply with both the movement conditions stated in Agriculture Victoria’s Industry Notice dated 23 May 2019 for moving into the remainder of Victoria and also comply with entry conditions of the receiving state if movements are occurring beyond Victoria.

Refer to the interactive maps for a zoomed in view of the Yarra Valley GI showing the proposed Maroondah PIZ boundary extensions.
