Taking note of who visits your vineyard is a vital component of best practice farm-gate hygiene.

Vinehealth Australia recommends retention of visitor records for at least seven years. Information recorded should include names of visitors who come onto your vineyard, the wine regions they have visited in the past three weeks and if they have brought vehicles, machinery or equipment that have been in vineyards over the past three weeks. It is imperative that your visitor records are maintained and provided to new owners during vineyard ownership changes. These records form an essential component of traceback audits to study how a pest, disease or weed may have moved onto or off of your property.
