Wine Australia maintains a webpage dedicated to fire recovery. This includes information on technical support for grapegrowers and winemakers, mental health resources, government support and business support.

Vinehealth Australia supports PIRSA and SA wine regions and regional wine associations to manage, respond and recover from bushfires in South Australia.

PIRSA provides key contacts and advice relevant to growers in both areas here.

PIRSA maintains a range of resources for growers affected by the Cudlee Creek fire here.

On behalf of Adelaide Hills Wine Region (AHWR):
The AHWR has been working closely with the AWRI on some initiatives to help affected growers and wineries understand smoke damage.

The AHWR has organised a Q&A session on smoke damage and has invited the AWRI as key note speakers. The session will be held on Wed 29 January from 3-5pm at Golding Wines. Book at Note: for those wishing to participate in the regional smoke-testing sensory panel, please arrive at 2pm.

For practical advice for grapegrowers seeking to check their fruit for smoke taint, and further details on the smoke testing sensory panel, we share this resource from AHWR. Note: Potential panel participants are asked to register interest via email at by Fri 24 January and will need to be able to commit to attend up to 50% of the 1-2 hour sessions to be held on Wednesday mornings from 9am between Feb 5 – Apr 8.
