Pest and disease threats

Australian grapegrowers face many pest and disease pressures which require ongoing management.

Added to this, incursions of exotic and declared endemic pests in Australia are increasing.

Of the pests and diseases endemic to Australia, one of the greatest biosecurity threats to vineyards in South Australia is Grape phylloxera (Daktulosphaira vitifoliae). South Australia is currently phylloxera free.
