Vinehealth has released a Biosecurity Alert acknowledging PIRSA’s announcement that they have successfully eradicated the Queensland fruit fly outbreak from the Ridleyton area in metropolitan Adelaide. No movement restrictions relating to this outbreak area now apply.
As advised in a Biosecurity Alert last week, PIRSA has extended the anticipated date for lifting of movement restrictions and reinstatement of fruit fly freedom for both the existing and overlapping Pike River and Renmark West outbreaks, to 6 May 2022. As a result, movement restrictions relating to the Riverland fruit fly affected area as outlined in this Biosecurity Bulletin, continue to apply throughout vintage 2022.
