Are you aware of the proposed timing and location of proposed burns in Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges this autumn?
Vinehealth Australia has been working with the Barossa Grape and Wine Association, Adelaide Hills Wine, McLaren Vale Grape and Wine Tourism Association and Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (DEWNR) to develop communications for every potentially affected grower regarding prescribed burns in the Adelaide and Mt Lofty Ranges Region. The Register that Vinehealth Australia maintains has enabled targeted communication to all vineyard owners in McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills and Barossa. Items communicated on behalf of DEWNR were:
- A letter to vignerons.
- A map showing location and estimated timing of prescribed burns.
- DEWNR Smoke Taint Fact Sheet.
