Are your records up to date on Vinehealth Australia’s Vineyard Register? It’s important that we have accurate information in the Register to assist with biosecurity functions to protect South Australian vineyards.
In addition, on 30 April the information in the Register is used to calculate your annual contribution (levy) that’s payable under the Phylloxera and Grape Industry Act 1995. Pursuant to the Act, it is a vineyard owner’s responsibility to provide accurate records of vineyard plantings.
To assist vineyard owners with this obligation, Vinehealth Australia provides an online kiosk which enables online checking and updating of records, or you can return the documentation that will be sent to you in the mail or via email in the next week, marked with any changes. We require all updates to records by 23 March 2018.
The following items must be recorded in the Register:
- Vineyard owner’s full name and contact details including email
- If the property is leased, leasee details must be recorded in the Operator section
- Location of the vineyard
- Varieties of vines planted
- Area of each variety planted
- Age of the vines
- Rootstocks used
- Note that you will also need to allocate plantings to a specific land parcel.
Follow the steps below to access your records on the online kiosk:
- Go to vinehealth.com.au, and click on the <GRAPE INDUSTRY KIOSK LOGIN> button on the home screen
- Enter your unique ‘user ID’, ‘username’ and ‘password’ listed below
User ID: {growerNo}
Username: {growerUserName}
- Enter your password (if you can’t remember your password, follow the prompts on the login page).
- Please ensure that you press submit to ensure that information is updated. Failure to ‘submit’ will hold changes for seven days only and then changes will be deleted.
Changes can be made via the kiosk at any time during the year, but they must be submitted within three months of the changes.
Vinehealth advises that if a property is leased, the owner of the land should consider costs associated with contributions payable to Vinehealth Australia (the levy) as part of the formal lease arrangement. Any liabilities ultimately remain with the owner of the land.
Please refer to the infographic on submitting changes via the kiosk below, or contact the Vinehealth Australia office from Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.
