An international article in a prestigious magazine has reinforced the importance of South Australia’s focus on protecting vine health.
Brought to our attention by Rae Noon, the article, published in The World of Fine Wine’s new Travel Guide, states that South Australia has “a fair proportion of the oldest commercially grown vines in the world”.
“Some of the vineyards…clock in at a minimum of 125 years old. No wonder producers enforce rigorous anti-phylloxera measures for all vineyard visitors,” the article says.
