Dear Industry Members,
We’re pleased to share a brief update following the recent Vinehealth Australia Board meeting held on 28-July 2026. The Board considered and discussed several key matters, including:
- Di Davidson AM was reappointed as Vinehealth’s Presiding Member.
- The independently audited Vinehealth Australia financial statements for FY26 were endorsed by the Board.
- The 2025-26 Annual Report delete which was endorsed by the Board and will be provided to the Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development and Minister for Forest Industries. Following tabling in the South Australian Parliament, the Annual Report will be made available on the Vinehealth Australia website for you to review at any time.
- The procurement documentation for the Vinehealth Vineyard Register Upgrade Project was endorsed by the Board to support the procurement process and selection of a supplier to deliver this important project.
- The Vinehealth Australia Strategic Plan 2026-2031, which will be distributed soon, will be shared with industry at a meeting on 17 September. Further details on the date, time and how you can join the meeting will be shared with industry shortly.
- The upcoming Clare Valley Phylloxera Preparedness Exercise in September.
- Financial reports and broader operational matters, including the CEO report, progress against the Strategic Plan, delivery of the Annual Operating Plan and key projects, and organisational Key Performance Indicators.
- A South Australian biosecurity update was presented by PIRSA, providing an overview of current biosecurity activities, priorities and considerations for the State.
- The regular review of industry metrics to support ongoing monitoring of the industry, trends and emerging challenges was discussed.
Next Meeting: The next Board meeting is scheduled for October 2026 and will be held in a South Australian wine region.
