Plant Health Australia is running free Industry Liaison Officers (ILO) training at the Waite Campus in Adelaide on Tuesday 29 April 2025.

This program ensures industries are well prepared for plant pest responses by providing trained ILOs, which provide a link between the Incident Management Team and industry.

ILO training is open to anyone in the grape and wine industry. Vinehealth Australia encourages anyone passionate about biosecurity to attend the ILO training, to understand how they can assist the South Australian wine and grape industry if there is a biosecurity outbreak.

This training is being delivered by Plant Health Australia in conjunction with the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

ILO training is designed to provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively respond to biosecurity emergencies and support plant industries. By attending the training, you will:

  • Learn about the incident management structure and the critical function of an ILO during a response.
  • Learn practical skills and knowledge on how an ILO can contribute to biosecurity response.
  • Connect with government stakeholders and plant industries.

Book to attend the SA ILO training session here. The workshop will start at 8.30am (for a 9am start) and finish by 4pm. It will be held at Plant Genomics Centre, University of Adelaide, Waite Campus.
